Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These Terms of Service («Terms») govern your use of Mai1, an email hosting service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Mai1 provides email hosting: domain-based mailboxes, webmail access (IMAP/JMAP/SMTP), managed AI-powered sending, and API/MCP access for AI agents. The service is provided «as is» — we work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
2. Account registration
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use Mai1.
3. Domains and DNS
You must own or have administrative control over any domain you connect to Mai1. You are responsible for adding the DNS records we provide (TXT for verification, MX for mail delivery). Mai1 does not transfer or take ownership of your domain.
4. Pricing and payment
Current pricing is published at mai1.top. The Start plan is $0 for the first month, then $1.95/year. Paid plans are billed annually. Prices include applicable features as described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice; your renewal price will not change mid-cycle.
5. Auto-renewal and cancellation
Auto-renewal: paid plans renew automatically each year unless cancelled. For plans renewing more than 12 months from signup, we will send a renewal notice 30–60 days before the cancellation deadline.
Cancellation: you may cancel at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. If you cancel during the free first month of Start, no charges apply.
Refunds: paid plans are non-refundable after the first 7 days of the paid period, except where required by applicable law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Mai1 for:
- Spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk email.
- Fraud, impersonation, or misrepresentation of sender identity.
- Distribution of malware, viruses, or harmful code.
- Harassment, threats, or illegal content.
- Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
Mai1 may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We classify outgoing messages: transactional and conversational email is permitted; cold outreach and bulk marketing are blocked. We reserve the right to review and remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Sending limits
Sending limits are per plan as published on the pricing page. Limits apply per account across all domains and aliases. Managed AI sending uses our relay (SMTP2GO); you may alternatively bring your own SMTP server for an additional fee.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your data: emails, attachments, and contacts stored in your mailboxes. Mai1 retains ownership of the service software, infrastructure, and branding. We do not claim ownership of your content.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers (email server software, outbound relay, hosting, payment processing). We are not responsible for their acts or omissions, but we select them with reasonable care and maintain contractual protections.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mai1 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
11. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Mai1, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to export your mailbox data (at least 14 days).
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the service operator's jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by the competent courts if necessary. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
